The chairman of the National Energy Regulatory Council (VERT), Renatas Pocius, says that ESO will cover only compensations to consumers from its profit, and funding for network restoration should be sought from the EU or the state budget.

“Of course, the final source is the tariff, if (…) there are no decisions regarding some other sources of funding. But it is not within VERT’s competence to arrange these matters,” R. Pocius said to BNS on Wednesday.
