15min on Tuesday received video footage from Gargždai “Vaivorykštė” gymnasium – a person captured what they saw in the newly renovated toilet room.

The toilets there are not separated by partitions, although at first glance it seems that the facilities can already be used – even trash bags have been placed in the bins.
What really happened?
The gymnasium director Rasa Mašurinienė explained to 15min that in fact this toilet room is not yet ready for use.
“They are still not operational – the renovation is not finished. They have not been put into use yet. The toilet doors were unlocked, so children went in and filmed – the doors should have been locked and there should have been a sign saying they are not working,” said R. Mašurinienė.
She stated that on Monday employees of the contractor from Kaunas were supposed to come and install the partitions, but they did not show up.
“Last week they did everything and promised to completely finish this project by September 1 – they were supposed to come yesterday and install the partitions,” the director said.

“I really want to talk to the contractor’s manager about such things happening,” she added.
When asked what company it was, she revealed that on August 4 a contract was signed for the toilet renovation with the Kaunas-registered company “Brasta Glass”.
R. Mašurinienė even quoted this contract: “On August 4 a contract was signed with UAB ‘Brasta Glass’, according to the signed contract clause, which states – the partitions specified in the contract are to be manufactured and installed within 30 working days from the date of signing the contract.”
“We had reserved August 31 for the installation of these partitions. Today I received an email from the company’s manager that installers will come tomorrow to install the partitions,” the director said.
“No, they are not late,” she admitted.
She emphasized that this toilet room is not the only one in the gymnasium, so the situation is not bad.
