On August 17, seven reports of thefts were received at the Jurbarkas District Police Commissariat of the Marijampolė County Chief Police Commissariat from the UAB “Norfos mažmena” store located at Algirdo St. 20, Jurbarkas. The total damage to the shopping center amounted to 568 euros.

Analyzing the collected information, officers determined that the thefts occurred on four different days in June and July 2026. Continuing the investigation, a suspect was identified – a resident of Jurbarkas district born in 1997.
After gathering sufficient data about the possible criminal acts, the suspect was detained.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted at the Jurbarkas District Police Commissariat under Article 178, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania for theft. The investigation is led by the Marijampolė District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
