According to the article, a small group of civilians still live in the city, resisting the Russians, who are only 15 km away and gradually approaching.

Drone war
As Reuters writes, a local resident does not even flinch at the loud howitzer shot nearby. But upon hearing the quiet buzzing of a drone overhead, she hides under the branches of trees.
“Thousands of Russian and Ukrainian drones, most of them remotely piloted, fill the sky near the front, hunting their targets with deadly efficiency,” the article states.

In Druzhkivka and throughout the fortress belt, many roads are covered with nets protecting everyone moving along them from drones. Unmanned ground vehicles used to supply Ukrainian positions on the front line and evacuate wounded soldiers rush from one task to another, journalists described the situation in Druzhkivka.
Earlier, the news portal Business Insider wrote that Russia is pushing forward in Donbas, while Ukraine is preparing for a battle over its last fortresses. At the same time, Western analysts predict that even the capture of the entire Donbas is unlikely to automatically force the Kremlin to agree to a ceasefire.
And the Ukrainian army fears that another serious Russian target could be Druzhkivka.
