The company also produced about 6 million tons of diesel fuel, 1.9 million tons of gasoline, and 700 thousand tons of fuel oil.

15 plants attacked

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that since January this year, the Ukrainian armed forces have struck 15 Russian oil refineries.

He added that in May, nearly 40 percent of Russia’s primary oil refining capacity was taken out of operation.

“This is significant. Russia has already banned the export of aviation fuel and gasoline from its territory, and is now considering a ban on diesel exports. For a country that until recently was called a gas station, even such a loss of revenue is an important event and a significant loss,” emphasized V. Zelensky.

The total number of strikes on oil refineries and oil infrastructure reaches 30 and is the highest since the beginning of the war, exceeding the previous record set in December when 26 oil facilities were attacked, including 15 oil refineries.

On Monday, it became clear that Russia has banned the export of aviation fuel until the end of November to avoid shortages in the domestic market due to Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.

Smoke column rose

On Tuesday, it was announced that Ukrainian forces attacked Russia’s Krasnodar region last night. During the strike, one of the largest oil refineries in the region – the Ilsky oil refinery – caught fire.

According to the Telegram channel “Astra,” residents of the Krasnodar region reported numerous explosions and a fire. Footage of the strike and videos showing a huge column of smoke rising after the attack are being shared on social media.

The regional operational headquarters confirmed the information about the fire at the Ilsky oil refinery. It is reported that there are no casualties.

The Ilsky oil refinery is one of the main oil processing enterprises in the region. The total design capacity of the primary technological units is about 6.6 million tons of oil per year.

Since the start of the large-scale invasion, the Ukrainian armed forces have attacked this refinery more than 10 times, with the last attack occurring in February.
