PepsiCo said in a statement released on Saturday that none of its employees were harmed and that it is still assessing the full extent of the impact on its production facility in the Mykolaiv region.

The company added that it is taking measures to “restore product supply” to its customers and consumers in Ukraine, reports TVP World.
The Ukrainian State Emergency Service earlier reported that during a Russian attack on the Mykolaiv region on Friday, a warehouse belonging to a food industry company was damaged, causing a large-scale fire. Initially, authorities did not specify which company owned the facility.
PepsiCo is one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world, with a significant presence in the Ukrainian food market – it owns brands such as Lay’s, Mirinda, Pepsi, and 7UP.
According to the portal Ukrainska Pravda, the company operates three production facilities in Ukraine: two in the Mykolaiv region and one in the Kyiv region.

Criticized for operations in Russia
The US company also continues to receive ongoing attention for its continued operations in Russia, more than four years after the start of Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In March 2022, PepsiCo announced it would suspend the production and sale of Pepsi-Cola and other global brands in Russia but would continue to supply certain essential products.
However, years after this statement, the company remains one of the largest foreign business entities operating in Russia. According to data from the Leave Russia project – an open-source database monitoring the status of international companies’ operations in Russia – in 2025 it paid about 237 million USD in income taxes to the Russian state.
