17 teams will compete in the men’s championship, divided into four groups. The Lithuanian 1st national team (Benas Šimanauskas, Deivis Gindrūnas, Rytis Gilys, Paulius Orda) in Group B will play against teams from Taipei, Venezuela, and Ukraine-1.

The Lithuanian men’s 2nd team (Kajus Jodkonis, Kajus Šimanauskas, Nedas Kubilius, Giedrius Švedas) in Group C will face teams from Mongolia, Serbia-1, and Poland-2.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of sixteen, which will again be divided into two groups. After the second stage, the quarterfinal matches will begin, with the winners advancing to the semifinals.
Men’s team coach Rolandas Rakutis did not dare to predict the chances of his players winning a prize place, only assuring that the men will give their all.
“The competition will be tough, and the Lithuanian men will fight their opponents with all their might,” assured R. Rakutis.
In the women’s championship, 11 women’s teams will compete, divided into two groups.
The Lithuanian 1st team (Rugilė Vosyliūtė, Kamilė Vosyliūtė, Deimantė Naruševičiūtė, and Deimantė Navikaitė) in Group A will compete against teams from the USA, Ukraine, Italy, Mongolia, and Poland-2.
The Lithuanian 2nd trio (Ramunė Eskertaitė, Aušra Milašauskė, Jurgita Jankutė, and Jurgita Šegždaitė) in Group B will compete against teams from Poland-1, Serbia, Greece, and Taipei.

After the group matches, the women’s teams will immediately face the quarterfinal stage.
Women’s team strategist Vytautas Žvirblis joked that both Lithuanian teams could “shoot,” but a more specific prediction could be made after at least the first day of the championship.
Mobile basketball stands, which were used at the Paris Summer Olympics, have arrived in Zlatibor. Thus, sharpshooters with hearing impairments will at least be able to feel the spirit of Olympic basketball and touch the atmosphere of a major sporting event.
The championship finals are scheduled for September 5.
