The 2024 Olympic bronze medalist, this year’s European vice-champion, took fifth place in the single sculls final on Sunday.
The Lithuanian athlete completed the 2000 m distance in 7 min. 23.59 sec.
The champion was British Lauren Henry (7:15.93), silver went to Irish Fiona Murtagh (7:18.04), bronze to Dutch Karolien Florijn (7:18.84).
V. Senkutė was narrowly beaten by the fourth-place finisher, Swiss Aurelia-Maxima Katharina Janzen (7:23.47).
For the first time in 15 years, an eight with coxswain (Povilas Stankūnas, Domantas Stankūnas, Dovydas Stankūnas, Povilas Juškevičius, Jonas Šaparavičius, Mantas Juškevičius, Arnedas Kelmelis, Saulius Aušbikavičius and Edgaras Savickis) was assembled for such a high-level competition and took ninth place.
In the second semifinal race, the Lithuanians finished fifth (5:50.45), and in the B final – third (5:24.99).

Earlier, brothers Dovydas and Domantas Stankūnai finished sixth in the men’s coxless pair (M2-) A final at the World Rowing Championships, completing the distance in 6:34.68 min.

The Lithuanians also competed in the coxless four event. With a changed lineup, our country’s men’s coxless four crew (M4-) finished 11th overall.
For medical reasons, Arnedas Kelmelis was replaced by Domantas Stankūnas before the start, and the Lithuanian four finished fifth in the B final with a time of 5:59.29 min. The coxless four also included Povilas Stankūnas, Mantas Juškevičius, and Saulius Aušbikavičius.
In the single sculls event, Dovydas Nemeravičius took 25th place among 37 participants, winning the E final, completing the distance in 6:50.15 min.
In the coxless pair event, Ugnė Juzėnaitė and Kamilė Kralikaitė took 11th place. In the B final, they completed the distance in 7:11.99 min and finished fourth.
In the women’s double sculls event, Dovilė Rimkutė and Martyna Kazlauskaitė took 12th place. Due to health problems, they did not start in the B final.
