„Although we celebrate freedom, there are countries in the world that still have to fight for it. The same occupier, the same Russia, is making Ukraine pay the highest price for its choice to be free on this day. Therefore, we must not forget that freedom is not a given,“ said the minister.
He spoke this while standing next to the interactive installation unveiled in the main hall of the capital’s railway station, which presents photos taken from 1989 to 1993. These images depict moments of Lithuania’s pursuit of independence.
