“We haven’t washed for three days and couldn’t change our underwear,” she said, warning about the risk of diseases.
I. Ben Gvir responded by comparing this situation to hostages held by “Hamas” and other fighters in the Gaza Strip for up to two years after the attacks on October 7, 2023.
“Our hostages did not have shampoo or such conditions. I am proud that we managed to reduce the terrorists’ detention conditions to a minimum. Summer camp prisons are over,” said I. Ben Gvir.
I. Ben Gvir, previously convicted of crimes including incitement to racial hatred, is known for his provocative actions and statements.
Earlier this year, he released a video mockingly addressing foreign activists from a seized flotilla attempting to break the Gaza Strip blockade, saying “welcome to Israel” while they were forced to kneel with their hands cuffed.
The activists reported physical violence, and one Australian accused Israeli officials of sexual assault. Israel denied these allegations.

Recently, I. Ben Gvir again faced international condemnation after stating that Israel should kill 30–40 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip every night.
According to her husband, the prisoner speaking in the video is Yasmine Shaaban (Jasmin Šaban), who was repeatedly detained by Israeli forces in May 2025 during a raid on her home near Jenin, a few months after her release under a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Authority’s Prisoners Affairs Commission accused I. Ben Gvir of “cruelty, hatred, and racism.”
The Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip Prisoners Ministry stated that I. Ben Gvir’s video “reflects the moral decline of the occupation regime.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition popularity is declining ahead of the October 27 elections, and I. Ben Gvir rejected calls to join other ultranationalists to strengthen the right-wing positions.
