Live music will be played on four stages, Gediminas Avenue will become a space for discoveries and creativity, sports activities will spread across Lukiškės Square and the surroundings of the White Bridge, Bernardine Garden will bring together the international city community, and in the evenings the festival rhythm will also move to the night Vilnius. This year’s program includes concerts, sports, literature, art, design, gastronomy, community events, creative workshops, and new festival formats.
“Vilnius Days” is an opportunity to celebrate the city as it is today: lively, diverse, creative, and constantly changing. Vilnius is strong because it accommodates very different people, ideas, and cultures, and the city festival is a great opportunity for everyone to meet and be together. This year the festival program will spread even more widely across the city – we will invite not only to concerts but also to do sports, create, discover new spaces, and experience the city in unexpected ways,” says Vilnius city mayor Valdas Benkunskas.
Musical Vilnius – from Cathedral Square to the “Heavy Terrace”
Two special evenings with performers of different generations and styles await on the main festival stage in Cathedral Square. Here on September 4th, Friday, “Kamanių šilelis” (9 PM) and Free Finga (10 PM) will perform, and on September 5th, Saturday – Justinas Jarutis (8 PM) and Donatas Montvydas (9 PM).
This year the festival’s musical map will be complemented by a new format – the “Heavy Terrace.” On September 4–5, Lithuanian rock and metal bands will meet at the “Summer Terrace.” The free event will invite you to get to know different directions of heavy music and its creators up close.
There will also be performances on the Vinco Kudirka Square stage and the Neris riverbank near the White Bridge. Here live music, comedy, and electronic sounds will meet.
A festival that moves with the city
The “Vilnius Days” program will invite you to be active. The Vilnius Sports Festival, taking place from September 4–6, will bring together more than 70 sports clubs and organizations and offer over 100 sports and active leisure activities. This year’s festival organized by “Active Vilnius” carries the slogan “Only sports in my head!” inviting not only to do sports but also to better understand sports. This idea will be continued by one of the most important festival novelties – for the first time, the “Healthy Movement Conference: Active Vilnius” will be held together with DELFI in Lukiškės Square.
In Lukiškės Square and the White Bridge sports field, there will be demonstration performances, tournaments, wellness activities, sports entertainment, and tasks for visitors of all ages.
The sports program will not be limited to the squares – the Neris River will also join the festival. A mass kayak ride will connect city spaces, and on September 6th, from 2 PM, the Vilnius basketball team “Rytas” season opening event “Black, White, and Red Vilnius” will take place in the Lukiškės Prison 2.0 spaces.
Creativity, design, literature, and flavors
Gediminas Avenue will become a true route of discoveries during the festival. Visitors will find different creators’, art, folk art, food, and restaurant spaces here.

In the Arts Alley from Cathedral Square to Vinco Kudirka Square, visitors will be attracted by glass, ceramics, sculpture, and painting works and the opportunity to interact with their authors.
In the contemporary design, fashion, accessories, and beauty space “Style LOCATION” at Vinco Kudirka Square and Gediminas Ave, more than 180 Lithuanian creators and brands will meet. Here you will enjoy a wealth of stylish clothes, jewelry, accessories, home interior details, and other original works, and meetings with creators and their exclusive exhibitions, demonstrating the creative process and inviting participation, will allow you to get to know their ideas up close. Near the Vinco Kudirka monument, a children’s beauty salon, soap bubbles, and more than 20 creative workshops for the whole family will be set up and operate throughout the festival.
Literature lovers will find the “Book Square” this year, whose events will spread across three city spaces – near the Cathedral book pavilion, the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, and the Vilnius Writers’ House. In the program organized by the Lithuanian Publishers Association, visitors will be able to meet writers, publishers, and creators, hear their stories, and discover new books.
A city that fits the whole world
An important community highlight of the festival will be “Vilnius Is My City.” On September 5th, different country and culture communities living in Vilnius will meet in Bernardine Garden. For the fifth time, the event organized by “Go Vilnius” will offer to get to know their traditions, music, food, and stories and once again remind that modern Vilnius is created by people from all corners of the world.
During the event, the “Vilnius Is My City Awards” will be presented for the first time to Vilnius residents of foreign origin who contribute to city life through their activities.
Vilnius will not stop after dark
This year “Vilnius Days” will open even more widely to the night city for the first time. On the night of September 5th, the festival will include “Vilnius Nights” initiated by the Vilnius night office, inviting you to visit four clubs: “Anna Mesha. Butas,” “Cornercafé,” “Elastica,” and “Gallery 1986.” One ticket will allow visiting them from 11 PM to 6 AM and getting to know different faces of the capital’s nightlife.
The culmination of the festival evenings will also be a new drone show. Near the White Bridge on Friday and Saturday, a 15-minute performance will tell the story of Vilnius with lights – city symbols and recognizable images will rise in the sky, accompanied by music.
“Vilnius is a city whose history and today’s character are created by very different people. Therefore, we want this to be reflected in the city festival – so that music lovers and sports enthusiasts, families with children, literature lovers, creators, gourmets, or simply people who want to spend the weekend in the city can find their place. I hope that each of the ‘Vilnius Days’ will take away their own discovery and another reason to be proud of Vilnius,” says Paulius Jurgutis, director of the Vilnius Culture Center, the festival organizer.
