„LTG Cargo Polska“ transported a 39-wagon train from Baborów (Poland) to Lünen (Germany) covering about 900 kilometers with nearly 3 thousand tons of cargo, LTG reported on Thursday.

According to the company, this marks a new stage of LTG Group’s expansion in Western Europe and strengthens the company’s position in the international railway logistics market.
“Working in the Western European railway market allows us to accumulate competencies that will be important in the future development of activities in the Rail Baltica corridor. At the same time, this strengthens LTG Group’s competitiveness and visibility in the international logistics market,” said Eglė Šimė, head of LTG Cargo, in a statement.
As BNS wrote, to transport cargo to Germany, LTG Cargo Polska purchased 72 new so-called pocket wagons from the Bulgarian company Kolowag with 7 million euros of EU funding.

The company operates a fleet of about 300 wagons and 21 locomotives.
