Another conflict arose as the footballer was already moving towards the tunnel. Various objects began to fly in his direction from the stands, and the midfielder also clashed with a representative of the “Lyon” team.
“Fenerbahçe” players rushed to calm the situation, and security personnel tried to separate the two hostile groups.
Chaos continued in the tunnel – more than 20 players and staff members were involved in the conflict.
After such scenes, M. Guendouzi will likely not avoid disciplinary sanctions. UEFA should evaluate not only his provocative gestures and behavior but also all incidents that occurred after the match.
