Later, the director apologized, stating that such behavior was unacceptable, but the Klaipėda Drama Theater ended its cooperation with him.

Still, excerpts from the premiere play were shown to the audience. These received very favorable reviews.

“It’s a pity that such a great play, which could have even won the ‘Golden Stage Cross,’ is being shelved,” commented Klaipėda residents on social networks.

After the New Year, Anupras Jucius took over the leadership of the theater. He talked with the theater team about what solution they would see.

As summer ended, it became clear that A.Areima’s work might still see the stage lights.

This was confirmed by the head of the Fishermen’s Hall, Kristina Jakštė, who confirmed that negotiations with the play’s producers about hall rental are underway.

In the play at the Klaipėda Drama Theater, the main roles were entrusted to Mantas Bendžius and Karolis Maiskis. 15min reports that the violence was not against these actors.

“This should be resolved within two weeks,” said K.Jakštė to 15min.

According to her, it is not yet clear who would act in the play. The Fishermen’s Hall would only be the venue renter.
