27-year-old I. Brazdeikis went to Malaga after two seasons with Kaunas “Žalgiris”.

“I feel that this club has an identity that it has gained over the past years. I am glad that I can contribute to it, and I did not hesitate when I received this offer,” explained I. Brazdeikis. “This is a place where I can improve my game and take advantage of opportunities. I want to be myself, show that I can be useful to the team, and give everything I can.”
The basketball player, for whom this will be the fifth season in Europe, also mentioned that he had great conversations with the team’s head coach Txusu Vidorreta and sports director Juanma Rodriguez, who helped him decide to move to Malaga.
Three years younger S. Lukošius arrives from Vilnius “Rytas,” with whom he won the FIBA Champions League and became the most valuable player of the final four.

“When I agreed with ‘Dubai,’ I did not know I would be loaned to ‘Unicaja,’ but when this opportunity arose, I realized it would be a great environment to grow and become an even better version of myself,” explained the sharpshooter.
S. Lukošius also added that he is not worried about being loaned and said that the most important thing is “to get the best possible role and chance to contribute to the team’s results.”
“My goal is to become the best player I can be. I will work for that every day. It is also important that I am on a winning team. Malaga is a wonderful place, and here I already feel like I am part of the ‘Unicaja’ culture and family. Everyone around helps me a lot,” said the Lithuanian.
