On Tuesday, questions were first raised by the US Air Force transport aircraft “Boeing C-17 Globemaster III” that flew from Riga to Moscow, arriving in the Latvian capital from the state of Maryland, where an air base is located, which also hosts, among others, US presidential aircraft.
Soon after, reports appeared in the US media that CIA Director J. Ratcliffe had arrived in the Russian capital, whose motorcade with American diplomatic plates was spotted on the streets of Moscow.
“This is not very unexpected”
According to L. Kojala, the CIA chief’s visit to Moscow is not unexpected, and it indicates an effort to renew peace talks regarding the war in Ukraine.
