“The second measure, which has also been identified both in the region and in the conversation with the prime minister, is the cabling program. This program is currently being implemented. This year we may have about 600 kilometers of cabled lines. However, the pace is insufficient and the current program is planned to cable 2,000 kilometers by 2028, and funds have been allocated for this,” Ramūnas Dilba said on Tuesday after the president’s meeting with the prime minister.
R. Dilba says that the president also heard from regional representatives that more electric generators are needed because it is not possible to restore electricity supply to residents and municipalities on time.
