As reported, the storm that raged in the Kėdainiai district on Saturday almost ended in an even more painful accident. In the Akademija town, a tree fell on a moving car, and two people were injured in the incident.

According to the Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat, the accident occurred in the evening, around 5:15 PM, on Parko Street in the Akademija town.
A tree fell on the roof of a Hyundai car driven by a 29-year-old man while it was driving down the street.

Preliminary data indicate that the injured were the driver and a 24-year-old passenger, one of whom was bleeding from the hand. Both were conscious and were taken to a medical facility after examination.



The car was marked with Czech Republic state license plates, but it is unclear whether the injured persons are foreign nationals.
The storm that hit Lithuania on Saturday caused many troubles for firefighters and other services. Due to strong winds, trees fell in various locations, blocking roads, damaging property, and posing a danger to residents.
