“Just from southern France, through southwestern Europe (where it scares with all kinds of weather troubles) towards Poland rushes a small cyclone named Priska. At dawn, this cyclone will reach the southern regions of Lithuania, during the day its central part will rush through Lithuania bringing rain and heavy showers, and will also comb almost all of Lithuania with strong or very strong winds, mostly again affecting the coast, especially the Curonian Spit, dividing Lithuania into the already cooled western and still warming eastern parts,” the meteorologist indicates.

The meteorologist urges caution on Saturday: “Postpone unnecessary trips, take care of your property, and those preparing to celebrate, assess the weather conditions.”
According to E. Latvėnaitė, on Sunday the cyclone will slowly retreat northward, northeastward, but will still strengthen, so it will be windy, with brief rain and thunder, and it will be cooler everywhere.
“Similar weather will continue on Monday, Tuesday will be calmer, with fog spreading at night, and some rain during the day. From Wednesday, an anticyclone will settle over Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe with dry, calmer weather, it will still be cool, especially at night, with fog spreading again. At the end of the week, the anticyclone will move eastward, with warmer air flowing along its western edge, but we will see rain again,” the meteorologist forecasts.

On Saturday, at the beginning of the night of August 22, it will rain in the southeastern and eastern edges, at dawn, starting from the southern regions, clouds of heavy, in some places intense rain will reach us, which will move across Lithuania in the morning and during the day: the heaviest rain will be in the western regions, and in the evening also in the northern and northwestern regions, in the evening only occasional rain in the southern and eastern regions.
Thunderstorms will rumble in many places in the morning and during the day. Wind at night from eastern directions 5-10 m/s, at dawn and early day in the eastern part of Lithuania from the south, southeast, in the western part from the northwest 8-13 m/s, gusts 17-22 m/s, stronger in the morning in the southern, southwestern and western regions, on the coast (especially on the Curonian Spit gusts 28-30 m/s), in the second half of the day from the southwest, west 10-14 m/s with gusts 21-26 m/s in many places, in the evening in the northern regions up to 28-30 m/s. At night 11-15°C, on the coast 16-18°C, during the day 19-23°C, early in the day in the southeastern and eastern regions it will still warm up to 24-26°C, coolest in the western regions 14-18°C.
On Sunday, August 23, it will rain in the western regions at night, at the beginning of the night still heavily in the northern regions, during the day short rain in many places, thunderstorms will occasionally rumble. Wind from the west, southwest 7-12 m/s, gusts 15-17 m/s, at the beginning of the night in the northern regions gusts 18-23 m/s. At night 10-13°C, on the coast 14-17°C, during the day 16-20°C.

On Monday, August 24, occasional rain, mostly in the western regions at night, rain in many places during the day, with thunderstorms in some places around midday. Wind from western directions at night 4-8 m/s, during the day 6-11 m/s. At night 8-12°C, on the coast about 13-16°C, during the day 17-19°C.
On Tuesday, August 25, no rain at night, fog will spread, during the day some rain in the northern, northeastern regions and southern edge. Wind from western directions 6-11 m/s. At night 8-13°C, during the day 18-21°C.
