According to “Sport24”, “Olympiakos” did not agree with the “Dubai” club’s offer. The United Arab Emirates team, playing their second season in the Euroleague, offered the Euroleague champions 300 thousand euros for the point guard this summer and an additional 300 thousand euros next year.
According to the Greek media channel, “Olympiakos” immediately rejected such an offer and ended the discussions, so it is expected that Th. Walkup will continue his career in Piraeus.
However, then the guard got angry. He unilaterally announced that he was terminating the contract, and then a real heat erupted.
“Olympiakos” took further legal action. The Piraeus club sent an official letter to the “Dubai” team accusing them of illegally trying to lure the 33-year-old point guard.

“Olympiakos” also informed the Euroleague management about the possible rule violation.
Walkup himself recently appealed to the Basketball Arbitration Tribunal (BAT), asking to terminate the current contract and become a free agent. He also expressed claims regarding the car damage assigned to him, reports the Greek portal “Sport24.gr”.
The basketball player was not happy that he was charged 9 thousand euros for the car damages.
