How it happened
According to the investigation data, on Friday the An-3 plane took off from the “Zonalnoe” airfield in the Tymovsky district of the Sakhalin region for a flight with parachutists. At an altitude of 600 meters, the aircraft engine failed, forcing the crew to make an emergency landing 2 km from the takeoff site. The aircraft caught fire after hitting the ground.

Parachutists on board
There were three crew members and five parachutists from the Sakhalin aviation base on the plane. It is reported that there are no casualties or injuries.
