In Lithuania on Friday morning, compared to Thursday, the average prices of gasoline and LPG decreased by 0.38% and 0.2% respectively, while the average price of diesel increased by 0.19%.
Fuel prices at gas stations in our country usually increase on Tuesdays, and are then consistently reduced until the weekend. Retail prices are also influenced by increased wholesale fuel prices and more expensive oil.
Information about fuel prices was provided to the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on August 21 by 73 fuel trading companies operating 748 gas stations.
Data on fuel prices obtained from gas stations by 10 a.m. on August 21 show that the lowest diesel price was at two “Baltic Petroleum” network gas stations in Vilnius – 1.949 Eur/l.
The highest diesel price was at twenty-four “Viada” network gas stations, eight “Circle K” network gas stations, and a “Degta” network gas station in Elektrėnai municipality (Vievis) – 2.199 Eur/l.
Diesel prices at gas stations on Friday morning ranged from 1.949 Eur/l to 2.199 Eur/l, with the average diesel price reaching 2.054 Eur/l, or 0.19% more than on Thursday (August 20), when it was 2.050 Eur/l.
The lowest gasoline price on Friday morning was at “Baltic Petroleum” and “EU Verslas” network gas stations in Mažeikiai – 1.649 Eur/l.
The highest gasoline price was at twenty-four “Viada” network gas stations, eight “Circle K” network gas stations, and a “Degta” network gas station in Elektrėnai municipality (Vievis) – 1.929 Eur/l.

Gasoline prices at gas stations on Friday morning ranged from 1.649 Eur/l to 1.929 Eur/l, with the average gasoline price being 1.773 Eur/l, or 0.38% less than on Thursday (August 20), when it was 1.780 Eur/l.
The lowest LPG price on Friday morning was at the “Alauša” network gas station in Utena – 0.654 Eur/l.
The highest LPG price was at the UAB “Tumasa“ gas station in Mažeikiai district municipality (Židikiai) – 0.940 Eur/l.
LPG prices at gas stations on Friday morning ranged from 0.654 Eur/l to 0.940 Eur/l, with the average LPG price being 0.765 Eur/l, or 0.19% less than on Thursday (August 20), when it was 0.766 Eur/l.
The latest published wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania on August 19 was 1.64 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.97 Eur/l (on August 18, the wholesale gasoline price was 1.62 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.95 Eur/l).
The Brent oil price on the market on August 20 was 93.78 USD/bbl (on August 19 – 91.62 USD/bbl).
