“The goal is to increase the energy independence of individual regions of Lithuania. Even if a region or a separate Lithuanian district is disconnected from the main grid, it should be possible to independently ensure electricity supply there. For this, we must utilize the capabilities of prosumers, autonomous and hybrid solar power plants, and energy storage systems, as well as flexible production capabilities, and encourage the development of such systems,” Lukas Savickas said in an interview with the LRT portal.
