To prevent scammers from taking advantage of the situation, the Pivašiūnai eldership is organizing a fundraising campaign. The eldership’s social worker Laima Navickienė and worker Artūras Dobravolskas, who lives in Kedoniai, will visit every resident of the village of Kedoniai, and anyone who wishes will be able to help the people affected by the disaster. A list of donors will be made, in which each person will write how much they donated and both the person giving and the person receiving the money will sign it. Afterwards, the money and lists will be handed over to A. and R. Dičkus. Therefore, residents are warned to be vigilant and not to give money to strangers.
