“I set up my new office in the little house. They say: flying planes is risky, climbing mountains is risky, diving is risky, driving a car on a slippery icy road is risky. As a rule, injuries that occur from time to time usually happen at home,” she wrote.
On August 11, A. Bunikienė still flew to Spain to rest, but while abroad she received disturbing news: “While there, a sad test result came from Lithuania, that it is indeed more serious than I, being an incurable optimist, had hoped.”
The famous woman did not hide her surprise at how difficult it is currently to get an appointment with specialists in the required field. Trying to register with a neurologist, she found out that the nearest available time is only in October.
“I thought that while waiting like this, the spring of 2027 might come unnoticed. So I decided to call my beloved ‘VibraMedica’ clinic, hoping that I would be helped. I cannot stop admiring, I cannot stop marveling at the good and kind-hearted sincere people constantly around me,” the woman said about her search.

She was also puzzled by bureaucratic processes when the family doctor cannot promptly issue the necessary referrals for specific tests: “I learned a strange piece of news that the family doctor has no moral right to issue a referral to a neurologist.”
After returning from Spain, the designer urgently got into professional hands. She is currently being treated at the Neurology Department of the Kaunas Clinics of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank my sincere, attentive professional in the medical field, doctor Aistė Čikotienė-Gadeikė, who, upon my return from Spain, promptly, without delay, took me under her wing in the neurology department of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kaunas University Hospital, where my severely injured spine treatment was immediately taken care of,” A. Bunikienė expressed her gratitude.
In her post, the designer did not spare warm words for the staff and resident Naglis Velička who took care of her. According to her, the attention shown by the medical staff is the best therapy for her: “Your attention is a therapy of positive emotions, which I believe in the most.”
