Fuel prices at gas stations in our country usually increase on Tuesdays, and on other days they are gradually reduced until the weekend. Retail prices are also influenced by increased wholesale fuel prices and more expensive oil.
Information about fuel prices was provided to the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on August 18 by 72 fuel trading companies operating 718 gas stations.
Data on fuel prices obtained from gas stations by 10 a.m. on August 18 show that the lowest diesel price was at an “Eniris” network gas station in Kėdainiai district municipality (Ruoščių village) – 1.944 Eur/l.

The highest diesel price was at a “Baltic Petroleum” network gas station in Neringa municipality – 2.169 Eur/l.
Diesel prices at gas stations on Tuesday morning ranged from 1.944 Eur/l to 2.169 Eur/l, with the average diesel price reaching 2.090 Eur/l, or 3.93% more than on Monday (August 17), when it was 2.011 Eur/l.
The lowest gasoline price on Tuesday morning was at “Baltic Petroleum” network gas stations in Anykščiai and “Alauša” network gas stations in Anykščiai – 1.659 Eur/l.
The highest gasoline price was at an “Apsaga” network gas station in Joniškis district municipality (Radikiai village) – 1.909 Eur/l.
Gasoline prices at gas stations on Tuesday morning ranged from 1.659 Eur/l to 1.909 Eur/l, with the average gasoline price being 1.826 Eur/l, or 4.82% more than on Monday (August 17), when it was 1.742 Eur/l.
The lowest LPG price on Tuesday morning was at four UAB “Madalva” gas stations – 0.660 Eur/l.
The highest LPG price was at UAB “Tumasa” gas station in Mažeikiai district municipality (Židikiai) – 0.940 Eur/l.
LPG prices at gas stations on Tuesday morning ranged from 0.660 Eur/l to 0.940 Eur/l, with the average LPG price reaching 0.771 Eur/l, or 0.65% more than on Monday (August 17), when it was 0.766 Eur/l.
The wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania on August 17 was 1.64 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.94 Eur/l (on August 14, the wholesale gasoline price was 1.63 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.92 Eur/l).
The Brent oil price on the market on August 17 was 90.87 USD/bbl (August 14 – 88.52 USD/bbl).
