According to him, at least 180 of them were shot down directly in the Moscow region. In turn, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, reported that more than 150 drones were “intercepted” in the cities around Moscow.

According to them, people were injured and buildings damaged during the attack.

With a mostly static front and negotiations essentially frozen, Ukraine and Russia have significantly intensified long-range attacks. As a result, the number of civilian casualties has reached the highest level since the start of the war in 2022.

Russian air defense systems over the capital region destroyed more than 180 drones, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported on the state-supported platform “MAX”.

The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, stated on the “Telegram” platform that the drone swarm injured three people, including a ten-year-old girl.

“At night and in the morning, air defense and electronic warfare forces repelled a large-scale drone attack in the Moscow region,” said A. Vorobyov.

According to the governor, the “most severe consequences” were in the Pavlovsky Posad district, where a residential house burned down.
