In a Monday statement addressed to the XXI Cabinet of Ministers, it is proposed that the program’s implementation plan allocate no less than 50 euros per student for textbooks starting from the 2027–2028 academic year, and no less than 70 euros from the 2028–2029 academic year.
Organizations, including the Lithuanian Student Union, history and chemistry teachers’ associations, the National Education NGO Network, and others, state that “the current level of funding no longer meets the real needs of schools.”
