„I will propose to the Seimas to return to the idea of creating a register of persons who have committed sexual crimes against children. The recent cases transferred to the prosecutor’s office regarding suspected sexual crimes against children force us to reassess whether we are protecting our children as best as we can today,“ M. Sinkevičius was quoted as saying in a statement released on Monday.
„It is painful to hear about possible long-term crimes as a parent. There can be no compromises or gray areas when it comes to child safety,“ he added.
