Announcement of competition for the position of LRT Ethics Controller

The Ethics Controller is responsible for ensuring that the principles and standards of professional ethics are observed in LRT’s journalistic activities. The person in this position supervises the application of ethical norms, examines issues related to professional ethics, and in their work is guided by the principles of legality, impartiality, fairness, independence, and transparency.

Candidates are invited who are citizens of the Republic of Lithuania, holding a master’s degree or equivalent education in the field of humanities or social sciences, with at least five years of professional experience in the acquired specialty, fluent in Lithuanian and English at a level not lower than B2. An impeccable reputation is also required. Experience working with the media, knowledge of media law, mediation experience, and work in institutions or organizations dealing with ethics issues will be considered an advantage.

During the selection, candidates’ professional experience, motivation, organizational skills, personal qualities, and knowledge necessary to perform the functions of the ethics controller will be evaluated. The candidate assessment will consist of an interview and a presentation of their vision of activities.

Applicants must submit an application form to participate in the competition, a copy of an identity document, a CV, and a vision of the ethics controller’s activities. All documents must be signed with a qualified electronic signature.

The salary for this position ranges from 4300 EUR/month to 5100 EUR/month before taxes, depending on competence and experience.
