Poland reduced VAT for the first time in March when oil prices jumped due to tensions between the US, Israel, and Iran. From today until the end of August, the VAT rate on certain fuels will be reduced from 23 to 8 percent, announced Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk last week.
“This is exactly what the people of Poland were waiting for,” Tusk told journalists, adding that this measure will help reduce fuel prices as the summer holiday season comes to an end.
