According to the criminal case data, in May 2024, R.D. and T.J., acting together and with the intent to distribute narcotic substances, acquired and possessed a large quantity – 49,445 g – of cannabis resin.
It is suspected that R.D. posted about the narcotic substance for sale in an online communication app and sold it to a person acting under the permission of a pre-trial investigation judge to perform simulated criminal acts.
It was established that on the same day R.D. and T.J. delivered the narcotic substance to an agreed location in Kaunas. T.J. hid it near one of the buildings, and R.D. passed on information about the location of the hidden narcotic substance.
According to the pre-trial investigation data, in October 2024, following R.D.’s instructions, L.Š. hid psychotropic substances eight times in various locations in Kaunas city.
He photographed the hiding places, recorded the coordinates, and passed this information to R.D. Later, the hidden psychotropic substances were found and seized by police officers.
In the same month, during searches at L.Š.’s residence and his used car, more than 78 g of crystalline substance was found and seized, containing from 75 to 84.3 percent of the psychotropic substance 3-CMC.
Cannabis and other psychotropic substances were also found and seized.
Additionally, R.D. is accused of acquiring and storing two pornographic videos depicting minors on his mobile phone in December 2020.
R.D., T.J., and L.Š. are charged with committing criminal acts provided for in Articles 260, parts 1 and 2, of the Criminal Code (CC), and R.D. is also charged under Article 309, part 2, of the CC.
The severest punishment prescribed by law for these criminal acts is imprisonment for up to 10 years.
The criminal case has been transferred for trial to the Kaunas District Court, Kaunas branch.
This pre-trial investigation was led by a prosecutor from the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Kaunas District Prosecutor’s Office, and the investigation was conducted by officers of the Organized Crime Investigation Department of the Kaunas County Police Commissariat Criminal Police.
A person is considered innocent until guilt is proven according to the law and recognized by a final court judgment.
