“Israel must clearly understand that its attacks, violations, and attempts to impose a fait accompli cannot continue and will be responded to accordingly,” the Iran-backed group stated in its statement, adding that the Lebanese authorities “do not need to persistently continue down the humiliating path of direct negotiations and offer free concessions to the enemy.”

Lebanon earlier reported that at least eleven people were killed in Israeli strikes in the south of the country on Saturday, marking the deadliest attacks since agreements reached in June reduced the intensity of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health and the state news agency reported that seven people were killed in one of the airstrikes targeting a house on the outskirts of the village of Ansar, including three children, and two others were injured.
In a second strike targeting the village of Deir Zahrani, four people were killed and 17 others were injured.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army stated in its statement that it struck “Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Nabatieh and Ansar districts.”
The Jewish state’s army claimed that its strikes on Lebanon were in response to violations of the ceasefire by the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
The strikes “were a response to a gross violation of the agreement by Hezbollah when they attacked our forces in the agreed security zone,” wrote Israeli army spokesperson in Arabic, Lieutenant Colonel Ella Waweya, on the social network X.
