In her post, Fausta condemned the hypocrisy of the church as an institution, the long-standing cover-up of crimes, and emphasized that instead of empty prayers for the victims, the church must finally take real action and take responsibility.
“A few years ago, I loudly and voluntarily distanced myself from the church. Not from faith, not from spirituality, the search for peace, but from organized religion and the church, which reminds me of the devil’s den.
Like many children, unfortunately, I was baptized. So, I became just another number in the majority religion of the state. I did not want to be one. I do not want to be the reason why the church receives all those privileges that allow it to rot.
I will definitely not baptize my child. In the future, if they want, I certainly will not forbid or discourage them from doing so themselves, but I will try to make sure my child knows why I did not do it.
Because it is impossible that for so many years of abuse, molestation, and exploitation of children, the community did not know or at least did not suspect.
In my hometown, everyone knew which priest drinks, which secretly has a wife. They also knew about the priests in the surrounding villages.

The church as an institution knows so much. It knows that more than one of their priests lives with a man. For many years. Once found out, they are simply exiled from the prestigious church somewhere among the fields. And they continue to publicly speak about “sin,” but hide it themselves.
So here too, when children are harmed, they probably “manage” it so that it does not catch the eyes of others, and it continues to thrive.
Yes, there are devoted, dedicated, and by no means corrupt clergy. But I cannot agree with them because they participate in the system and thus support it. Indirectly, but very significantly.
The church should not pray for the victims. They should punish and report everyone who raises suspicion. Pay substantial compensation to the victims, care for their well-being, psychological health. Cleanse themselves. If they really cared. But praying is the easiest.
