On September 19 (Saturday), the season will begin with a head-to-head match between Panevėžys “Lietkabelis” and Utena “Juventus”, and a little later that evening a historic match will take place – the league newcomer “Tauragė” will play their first game, hosting the challenge from “Jonavos Hipocredit”.
On September 20 (Sunday), Klaipėda “Neptūnas” will try to bite the Žalgiris team at home, and the first round will conclude with the meeting of “Gargždai” and “Šiauliai”.
Due to Vilnius “Rytas” participation in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in China, the Vilnius team will play their first home game in Lithuania only on October 3 (Saturday), when they will face “Gargždai”.
The first major clash between the Kaunas and Vilnius clubs will take place on November 2 at the “Žalgiris” arena.
In total, 10 teams will compete in the season, which will play a four-round system in the regular season, and each team will play 36 games.

The regular season finish is scheduled for May 16, and the playoffs should start on May 19, which will be held in the usual format: quarterfinals are played until two wins, and semifinals and finals until three wins.
The latest season end date, if the maximum number of games is needed in the playoffs, would be June 18.
As usual, most of the LKL games, supported by “Betsson”, will be broadcast on BTV television.
This season, viewers will have two live game broadcasts on weekends, both on Saturdays and Sundays – they will start at 16:30 and continue until 21:30. On weekdays, basketball evenings on BTV will start at 18:30.
All championship games will be broadcast live on “Telia Play”.
