Latvian border guards turned back 45 migrants on Sunday, while seven attempts to illegally enter the country were blocked at the Polish border on Saturday.

More than 1,000 illegal migrants have been denied entry to Lithuania this year. Last year, there were more than 1,600 attempts to enter the country illegally from Belarus in unauthorized places, and the year before that, the number was 1,002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25,600 foreigners from entering the country illegally.
