Already 5 minutes after the pass from „Džiugas“ legionnaire Valentinas Vermeulen from the right wing, the home team’s defenders and goalkeeper failed to clear the ball, and Vilius Piliukaitis directed it into the goal.

The Šiauliai team briefly recovered at 16 minutes, when after a corner kick Davis Ikauniekas sent the ball with a strong shot under the crossbar of the guests’ goal.
However, at 22 minutes the guests took the lead again. This time the Telšiai team launched a beautiful attack on the left wing, and after Jakub Wawszczyko’s pass, Pedro Bahia, completely free in the penalty area, confidently hammered the ball into the goal.
At 27 minutes, the same P. Bahia attempted a long shot and scored the third „Džiugas“ goal with a powerful strike.
At 52 minutes, the Šiauliai team scored again after a corner – this time Divine Naah sent the ball into the goal.
Just a minute later, „Džiugas“ earned the right to take a penalty, but P. Bahia, who could have scored his third goal, failed to beat Šiauliai’s goalkeeper Gustas Baliutavičius.
However, already at 57 minutes the Brazilian reached his goal, finishing a beautiful Telšiai attack through the middle of the field with a precise shot.
At 68 minutes, Šiauliai earned the right to take a penalty. D. Ikauniekas, standing at the 11 m mark, also failed to beat the opponents’ goalkeeper Marius Paukštė, but Daniel Romanovskis, who was first to the ball, left no chance to the opponent – 3:4.
After this victory, „Džiugas“ has 37 points and has caught up with the leader of the Toplyga, „Kauno Žalgiris“, in points.
Šiauliai, having collected only 13 points in 23 matches and already lost 9 times in a row, remain at the bottom of the tournament table – ninth.
