According to them, the accident occurred in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, and the search for the missing people is complicated by bad weather conditions and difficult-to-reach terrain.
“They are currently being searched for. The situation is very difficult due to bad weather conditions and hard-to-reach areas,” reads a public appeal from the relatives.
Kyrgyz media, citing the country’s rescue services, reported that three climbers are being searched for in the mountains of the Osh region – two Belarusian and one Lithuanian citizen.
It is reported that the group had gone to climb the Kurumdy peak, about 6.6 thousand meters high. After climbing, the climbers were supposed to return towards the base camp, but they did not appear at the agreed time and contact with them was lost.
During the search, rescuers managed to find the group’s tent, but there were no people inside.
According to Kyrgyz media, local rescuers with special equipment, border service officers, and volunteer guides are participating in the search. Part of the team conducted the search at about 5 thousand meters altitude.

Relatives, in turn, announce that additional funds are currently needed for a more effective rescue operation for the work of professional climbers, special equipment, machinery, and a helicopter.
“Every contribution, even a small one, can be very important,” reads the appeal by Ekaterina Rubtsova.
Relatives also ask people to share the information, hoping it will reach those who can help with contacts or otherwise contribute to the search:
“Let’s not leave them alone. Every minute is important right now.”
