The Lithuanian national team gained a double-digit lead in the first quarter (24:14), but managed to pull away more solidly only at the end of the third quarter, when after Luka Andrulis’ three-pointer the difference jumped to 21 points (67:46).

In the last quarter, the opponents managed to get within 10 points (74:64), but were unable to create a miracle.

Today, the Lithuanian national team was led to victory by the duo of Raigardas Ciūnys and Danielius Jasikevičius. The first scored 22 points, and the second – 19.

Rapolas Klišauskas added 12 points to the victory, Jonas Biržinis 11, Lukas Andrulis 8, Ignas Martinkus 7, and Adas Kernagis and Elvinas Bajus 2 each.

The Polish national team played most effectively with Alex Pietrzak scoring 18 points.

Lithuanian basketball players will conclude the battles of Group A in the first stage of the European Championship on Sunday at 6 p.m. with a match against the Romanian team.
