According to the police, the first two incidents occurred around 9:30 a.m. (local time, 10:30 a.m. Lithuanian time) on a residential street in the Spangen district, located west of the city center, and in the nearby Markoniplein square, which is an important transport hub.

“Two random victims (men) were injured. One victim was taken to the hospital, and the other was given assistance on the spot in an ambulance,” the Rotterdam police department reported on the social network X.
About half an hour later, the police received a report of an attempted stabbing on a pedestrian bridge near Rotterdam-The Hague airport in the northwest of the city.
“It is believed that the same suspect is involved in these knife attacks, and it is assumed that he traveled by car,” the police department said.
“This 26-year-old man from Rotterdam was arrested. The police are conducting further investigation,” the department added.
