According to the French Embassy in Lithuania, a student with diabetes in Lithuania will complete one of the 27 stages of his “Just Did It” initiative. This summer, he plans to run 27 kilometers in each of the 27 European Union capitals over 27 days.

According to the organizers, the initiative aims to raise public awareness about type 1 diabetes, promote sports as a means of strengthening health, and draw attention to the rights of people living with chronic illness or invisible disabilities.
For almost a decade, H. Vallee has actively defended the rights of people with type 1 diabetes, collaborating with French and European institutions to raise public awareness and contribute to legal and societal attitude changes.

“I want to turn the sports challenge into a meaningful and visible message that families, relatives, youth, and the wider public can spread,” H. Vallee said in a statement.
According to the organizers, the run will start at 8 a.m. near the Parliament, and the public is invited to join the initiative – those interested will be able to run part of the route together.
