Monthly sales in the food, beverages and tobacco sector decreased by 0.5%, while in the non-food sector (excluding automotive fuels) they decreased by 0.4%.

Among the member states for which data are available, the largest monthly decreases in retail trade volumes were recorded in Finland (1.5%), Romania (1.2%) and Germany (1.1%). The largest increases were observed in Luxembourg (2.5%), Portugal (1.7%), Croatia and Sweden (both 1.5%).

Year-on-year sales in the food, beverages and tobacco sector increased by 0.9%, while in the non-food sector (excluding automotive fuels) they grew by 1.7%.

The largest annual increases were recorded in Luxembourg (8.3%), Sweden (7.2%) and Bulgaria (7.1%). Decreases were observed in Romania (6.6%), Austria (0.3%) and Belgium and Germany (both 0.1%).
