Thank you for a wonderful 15 years! Exactly one and a half decades have passed since my first official games wearing the Latvian men’s national team jersey. It is time to listen to my body and, unfortunately, but together with great joy and pride for everything I have experienced over these 15 years, it is time to end my career in the national team.

It may be a little sad that we did not finish the last game with a victory, but I believe that over all these years we have experienced incredible emotions – both in our arena and in tournaments and games outside Latvia, including European Championships and the World Championship. These memories will stay with us for a very long time.
I sincerely hope that Latvian basketball today is in a much stronger place than it was before my debut in the national team. In the future, I will definitely be one of the biggest supporters of the national team – I will always support it and, whenever I have the opportunity, I will cheer for the guys from the stands.
Thank you all for the support, for being with us both after victories and defeats, for celebrating together and mourning together. Thank you!
