The contract between T. Didžgalvis and “Juventus” was terminated by mutual agreement. The guard belonged to the main Utena team since 2022 and during this period took his first steps in professional basketball.

“Titas expressed a desire to leave the team due to limited playing time. Since the Lithuanian Basketball League is highly competitive, we could not promise him more time. Therefore, it was agreed to part ways by mutual consent. We can only wish Titas success in his future career,” said Eimantas Skersis, head of the “Juventus” team.

Last season in the national championship, T. Didžgalvis appeared in 22 games and averaged 0.4 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in about one and a half minutes per game on the court.

The 18-year-old Utena native Normantas Juršys will take T. Didžgalvis’s place in the team’s rotation. The guard has developed over recent seasons at the Vilnius basketball school and will now join his hometown team.

“What impresses most is Normantas’s enthusiasm and desire to join the organization. Although the player was held back last season by a foot injury, he is now recovered and ready to improve. We believe this cooperation can be beneficial for both parties,” said E. Skersis.

For the upcoming season, contracts with Utena “Juventus” are also held by Šarūnas Beniušis, Justas Furmanavičius, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, Paulius Valinskas, Kenny Pohto, Chase Hunter, Gintautas Matulis, Jack Pagenkopfas, and Tevianas Jones.
