Because of such high temperatures, almost the entire map of Lithuania has turned yellow – a warning is being sent to residents about possible danger.
Previously it was announced that the heat would cover a slightly smaller area of Lithuania, with no warnings issued for Panevėžys, Utena, Šiauliai, and Telšiai counties. Now only Telšiai county and the Baltic Sea and Curonian Lagoon region remain green.

For Klaipėda county, the yellow warning from 3 p.m. to midnight is only due to possible thunderstorms. Thunder with lightning may also scare Marijampolė and Tauragė counties on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m.

On Thursday, short rain and thunderstorms are expected in some places.
Due to possible thunderstorms, a yellow warning is in effect throughout Lithuania on Thursday.
The wind on Thursday will be south, southwest, turning to west, northwest, 4–9 m/s at night, 6–11 m/s during the day, with gusts of 15–20 m/s in some places during thunderstorms.
It will remain hot: the temperature at night will be 16–21 degrees Celsius, during the day 26–31, and 22–25 degrees on the western edge of the country.
On Friday, there will be short rain in some places. The wind will be west, 6–11 m/s at night, 8–13 m/s during the day. It will be much cooler, with temperatures at night 12–17, and during the day 20–25 degrees Celsius.
