Widening pedestrian paths, improving the environment
About a thousand square meters of territory between Danė and the “Klaipėdos baldų” factory is being managed by the “SBA Home” business group that owns it and the Klaipėda municipality: the latter will widen pedestrian paths along this section of the riverbank, install a pontoon quay, and improve the surroundings, while the business will install special benches.

There will be terraces by the river in the park, bicycle stands, new lighting installed, as well as landscaping, and the area will be adapted for people with disabilities.
Works will be completed soon
The renovation works will be completed soon, and the space will be opened to city residents on August 26.
The “SBA Home” statement says this is the first such business and local government project in the city, with total investments reaching 140 thousand euros.
“Together with the Klaipėda municipality, the renovated quay will be more convenient for pedestrians and cyclists, and the unique handmade benches created by our company teams, I believe, will inspire creativity,” says one of the project initiators, SBA group representative Tadas Dručkus.

After the park opening event, scheduled for August 26 at 14:30, participants will be able to visit a tour of the “Klaipėdos baldų” factory – the number of places is limited, so prior registration is required.
A special space will also be created in the renovated area where passersby can observe the furniture production processes.
The coastal renovation works costing 18 thousand euros were designed last year and started this April.
In 2023, “Klaipėdos baldai” proposed to the municipality to revive this place and turn it into an attractive leisure zone for residents. Among the published ideas was the plan to install swings, playgrounds, dog walking areas, a summer cinema, or other entertainment under the School Street viaduct.
