At the end of July–beginning of August, the European Rowing Championship took place. In Varese (Italy), three crews from our country won medals.
Silver was won by brothers Dovydas and Domantas Stankūnai, who finished second in the final of the double sculls.
Bronze was won by Dovilė Rimkutė and Martyna Kazlauskaitė – they finished third in the final of the double sculls.

Viktorija Senkutė added a European Championship silver medal to her 2024 Olympic bronze. In the women’s single sculls final, the 30-year-old Lithuanian shot ahead from the first strokes, rowed first for half the distance, and confidently finished in second place.

Last year there were no medals, but this year their number increased by three. M. Masilionis said there is a solid reason for this.
