He also dedicated a painful apology to his deceased friend.

“You asked me to be your ‘protector’ and watch over you this weekend… Sorry I didn’t protect you until the end… have a good flight, brother…,” wrote M. Rimdeika and shared a photo of his friend.

“According to preliminary police data, at about 13:48 a report was received that a person was drowning in the sea in Nida,” said a police spokeswoman.
“He was resuscitated, but unfortunately, resuscitation was unsuccessful,” she said.
