Meanwhile, Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas did not confirm this. According to him, partners expressed a request not to spread too much information on this topic.
„We have to respect the requests and commitments of our partners. Therefore, I will not go into much detail, but I will repeat once again that Lithuania, as a state, has fulfilled most, if not all, of the commitments,“ the minister emphasized.

According to R. Kaunas, some American soldiers are in Lithuania, but the rotation process „has not yet reached the standard level“.
Americans have regularly deployed battalions of soldiers in Lithuania since 2019. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, Washington changed its force status in Lithuania to continuous rotational deployment.
These reinforced battalions usually consisted of a thousand or more soldiers with various combat equipment.
