According to the pre-trial investigation data, continuing his actions, the accused twice struck the glass of the temporary detention room with his hand. One glass of the detention room with its frame was damaged by the blows, causing property damage worth 363 euros.
According to the prosecutor’s office, these actions disrupted the course of the court session, public peace, and order.

The man was charged with contempt of court and violation of public order. For these criminal acts, the Criminal Code provides for a penalty of up to two years of imprisonment.
As BNS wrote, the incident occurred while the court was hearing closing arguments in a case related to the handling of a very large quantity of psychotropic substances and their delivery to the Marijampolė prison.
The court representative Vija Kudzienė told BNS that the folder was thrown by Remigijus Meška. R. Meška, previously convicted nine times for violent, property, and drug-related crimes, demanded the removal of the judge hearing the case during the session. The accused threw the folder after the court announced that the request would not be granted.
